Workshop on Harlem Renaissance

GREAT BARRINGTON— “Teaching the Harlem Renaissance,” a workshop for Berkshire County teachers, will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Du Bois Center  of American History, 684 South Main St. The morning session, “The Harlem Renaissance and the Berkshires: The Quiet Connection,” will be taught by James Sterling King of Simon’s Rock College.

The afternoon session, “Visualizing the Harlem Renaissance,” will be presented by Myran Parker-Brass of Boston Symphony Orchestra.

The fee of $25 includes lunch. Checks should be made payable to Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
